Do buyers pay a fee to a realtor when
buying property?
-No we collect our fee from the seller. We generally collect our
money from the seller’s side.
What are the general fees for BUYERS?
-Escrow fees (this is generally shared with seller)
-Loan fee (check with your loan officer/lender for what they
charge)
-appraisal fee (only if you are planning to have a mortgage on
your property)
-Home Inspection Report (paid by buyer & performed by a home
inspector to check the condition of the property you choose to
purchase.
What fees are generally for SELLERS?
-Escrow fees (this is generally shared with buyer)
-Condo documents (If you are selling a property such as condo,
townhouse, apt or property that has a maintenance fee)
-Termite Inspection (This is paid by seller to determine if there
is any live/active termite activity in the property that is being
sold)
-Conveyance Tax (a tax assessed by the state of Hawaii on the sale
of property in Hawaii)
-HARPTA & FIRPTA (HARPTA, a 5% tax to seller if you do not reside
in Hawaii).
FIRPTA, (a 10% tax to seller if you are a nonresident of the US)
